Upside down shooter new idea (Final Idea)

i was writing down work on my file block when i had this idea. My idea is to still have my game as a Upside down Shooter but instead of having the usual "survive the zombies game" i would set my whole game on a file block. Its a very simple concept but one which i think could work very well. The enemies in this game would be Scrunched up pieces of paper,  blackboard wipers and textbooks and they will be invading your textbook from random points of your file block.
Your will also be able to build turrets, these turrets will be stapler tower, ink tower, pencil tower.
I like this idea a lot and just wish i thought of it earlier, this will be what i am working on from here onwards, because i feel like it is quite a unique idea because in all my time of playing shooters online, e.g miniclip, i have never saw a game that resembles a classroom and the things that are in it.
I was also thinking that your weapon could be a marker that shoots out ink, and it will be upgradable as well.

Upside Down shooter

For my upside down shooter i have came up with the idea that you are in a farmhouse and out of no where you start to get attacked for zombies. You will not be able to go outside of the farmhouse and have to survive until sunrise. The Farmhouse will have various openings so that the zombies could enter the house and kill you, but each entrance has a barrier e.g window (you will be able to fix these barriers in game)
Your starting weapon will be a pistol, but you will be able to upgrade your weapons to > shotgun > machine gun > flamethrower > rocket launcher > minigun (prices of these vary ,lowest being shotgun ,highest being the minigun)
You will also be able to upgrade your barriers as well from window > mesh > wood > metal > metal + barbed wire (prices of these vary ,lowest being mesh ,highest being metal + barbed wire)
You will also be able to build towers as well to help you survive these will be machine gun > Flamethrower > Cannon > Gatling gun > plasma (prices of these vary ,lowest being Machine Gun ,highest being Plasma)

New Idea

As i was presenting my initial ideas to the class i came up with a new idea and that idea was to design an "Upside Down" shooter or birds eye view shooting game. As i started thinking more about this game i decided that it would be better to use this sort of idea, as it would be a game that can be a lot more personalised each time you play it. Also i think it would be a game you can jump straight into and start having fun shooting enemies, rather than have towers doing the shooting for you.

Other Aspect of my Initial Idea

The story line of my initial idea would be that, the earth has been invaded by aliens/demons and want to wipe out the entire human race, their other purpose is to harvest us for food.
In this game you will be protecting the last known human population and it is up to you to protect them so they can build up the worlds population again.
In your main base there is 100,000 people doing everything they can to survive, and you must do everything to ensure that they do.
Each time an enemy gets inside your base the amount of people fall by 5,000. This will act like your lives, so you have 20 lives at the start of each level.
At certain times you will face a boss, which is much stronger and harder to kill that normal aliens/demons attacking your base.

Initial Ideas

For my game my initial idea was to make a "tower defense" game.
To make the game more personalised I would also make it so that it is possible to build your own base as well as towers.

The buildings would be :-
Hacking Building (Brings in steady income)
Bank (Increases Interest)
Research Facility (Advanced Weaponry)
Nuclear Silo (Nuclear missile - destroys all enemies on map)
Armory (upgrade towers and armour)

The Towers available to build would be  :-
Machine gun (ground)
Missile (ground + air)
Ice (ground + Air)
Flame Thrower (ground)
Poison (ground + air)
Flak Cannon (air)
Gattling Gun (ground + air)
Storm (ground)

Bonuses :-
Air Strike (strikes a group of enemies within desired attack space)
Expand base
Guardians (Huge units that take damage and attacks enemies head on)
Extra Damage (effective for 3 levels)

You will also be able to upgrade each of your towers up to 5 times, and when you do there will be a different animation for your tower e.g the amount of barrels they have, colour and size of bullets used.
